BRIDGEWELL TRUST

Bridging resilience with resources.

About Bridgewell Trust

Bridgewell Trust is a private community fund intended to address poverty and housing instability in Virginia. Founded by a team of businesses and social entrepreneurs in Richmond, Virginia, the Bridgewell Trust is an innovative approach to bridging the gap between uncertainty and stability.

Families in the community can submit an application to the Board for support with resources such as food, clothing, short term financial assistance & bridge loans, healthcare, and mental health services. Bridgewell Trust is operated solely by donations of money and time. Therefore, these supports and services are offered to community members in exchange for their volunteer hours.

How the Bridgewell Process Works

  • A confirmed case manager must submit your name for referral to our intake board. Your case manager will send you an application form to return to info@bridgewelltrust.com.

  • Once your application is reviewed, please attend a virtual interview to confirm your identity and review the terms of the program. The interview ends with a decision on your application and information on the next steps.

Email interviews are available for those without reliable internet access who’s identity can also be verified via digital copy of an ID and the referring case manager’s verification.

  • Once the application is approved, the applicant must also agree to the terms of service. After carefully reading the agreement, the applicant will sign and return to the Bridgewell Trust. Funds will be dispersed on the date and time set in the agreement for services.
